Train hauls Russian confectionary to China

The Russia-based multimodal service provider RZD Logistics has expanded its offer for shipping temperature-sensitive cargo in refrigerated containers on the new Vorsino (Russia)-Chengdu (China)-Vorsino import/export route.

The first high-speed container train was already dispatched on 20 October. RZD Logistics is using this train to ship Russian confectionary and cereals to China.

The train and reefers departed from the Vorsino freight village terminal and are now heading for the border crossing point Zamyn-Uud (Mongolia). The boxes will then be cross-loaded and hauled to Chengdu. From there the goods will be hauled by road Shanghai and Guangzhou. (ben)
