Chinese launching another freight train to Europe

The Chinese government has said that a new railfreight route from northeastern China to Europe will be established this year. The train will run from Changchun, capital of the Jilin province, and exit the country via Hunchun Port in Yanbian, an autonomous prefecture in the Jilin province.

The train will pass through Slavyanka and Khabarovsk (both Russia), connect with the trans-Siberian railway and run on to Europe.

The trial operation will be completed before March, according to a government press release. (ben)
